Medium is a mind-reading party game where you and a partner use your psychic connection to find the idea that links two words. The challenge is to say the same answer at exactly the same time.

On your turn, team up with the player on your left. Your partner plays a word card, then you choose a card from your hand and place it beside theirs. Study the two words, trust your instincts, and count down together:

THREE… TWO… ONE…

Now say the connection, known as the Medium!

Match on your first attempt to earn a high-value Mind Meld token worth 5 or 6 points. If your answers differ, those answers become the clues for a second attempt worth 3 or 4 points. Still not in sync? You have one final chance to connect your new answers and earn 1 or 2 points.

Choose your answers carefully. You cannot repeat a word that has already been used during the turn.

When the Crystal Ball card is drawn, finish the current round so every team has played an equal number of turns. Then reveal your points. The team with the highest score wins!

Proper nouns and multi-word answers are allowed, provided they express a single idea. The stronger your psychic connection, the greater your reward.

Medium is fully compatible with Medium: The Hand of Fate. Combine the content from both games to discover even more surprising connections and mind-melding possibilities.
